How to store coffee beans and protect  flavor:
 
  Freshness is the key to good coffee. Buy your coffee as you would other fresh foods and    
  use  it at its peek. Coffee should be stored in an air tight, dry container, in a cool cabinet
  rather than in the refrigerator.  (If you choose to store your beans in the freezer make
  sure they are in a well sealed zip lock bag.)
